In a world increasingly affected by natural disasters and emergency situations, universities have a fundamental responsibility: to train resilient, inclusive and prepared communities.
The Carolina Albasio University-ordered Institute is proud to be a partner in the Disaster-Resilient Universities (DRU) project, cofunded by the Erasmus+ program. Together with institutions from several European countries, we work to strengthen the capacity of universities to deal with emergencies through innovative tools, strategic collaboration and effective communication.
As a partner in charge of ensuring Diversity & Inclusion, we are engaged in the development of the DRU Inclusivity Roadmap: an action plan to make each phase of the project accessible and representative. Some of our concrete commitments:
- Hybrid events and in accessible venues.
- Clear, multilingual and inclusive training materials.
- Active involvement of people with disabilities, migrants, international students, LGBTQ+ community
- Equal representation of gender and cultures Inclusion means not only participating, but being recognized, heard, valued. With DRU, we want to show that resilience starts with diversity.
